Getting my little girls room decorated and general update

Since being on maternity leave as of 12th March I have set my mind to getting my little ladys room ready for her arrival.
I know that she will be with us for some months before she settles into her own space, however I wanted to have a 'place' for her and for her to be part of our family before she arrives.

My little man helped fantastically and like everything else to do with my pregnancy I involved him directly. He helped with the painting -

This is the bedroom thus far....we have some canvases to put up and her blind and light fitting (chandelier) quote shown above is now over her bed.

Plans for the rest of the house being decorated are now underway - photos to follow after lots of hard work this Friday.

The last couple of weeks, me and my beautiful boy have been enjoying some fantastic time together at home, mainly with role play, acting and dancing. This week I introduced Felix to a fave classic film of mine, here he is waiting to put it on....

 

 

   The film was a huge success and we have been acting out the plotline for the last few days!

 

Easter and things coming up

 

 

Easter is fast approaching and I will be hosting an easter egg hunt and roast dinner this sunday for my mum, dad and brother. Should be a lovely day, I do love having the chance to be a domesticated mama. Two weeks now of little man being at home completely...this is due to term time at nursery, he has been clingy of late adjusting to a new routine and way of life, as apose to attending nursery with me 4 days a week he has been attending two pm sessions. It is something we care working on and hope that he will adjust soon.
My birthday is also next Saturday and I will be 27!! can't believe where the time goes...

We then have the 12th April coming up and the dreaded news of which school my son will be attending will be emailed to me! I cant quite believe it still and feel anxious about it, but what will be will be.

 Little lady

I have just 4 weeks left until my due date! Can't quite believe it! still not settled on a name at the moment....I have several in mind and something a bit special with her middle name that means something about the journey we have been on throughout the pregnancy. Hoping for a relatively stress free labour this time, I have my appt booked for next week at the midwife and an extra growth scan. I will be viewing the new birthing unit at medway and choosing whether I want to deliver baby there.

 

I often wonder how my little miss will look, been doing some reminiscing today, if she is anything like her brother she will be scrumptious..... but regardless she will be scrumptious to me!
